WEDGE FOR DOORS - DOOR BLOCK

Adjustable and self-expanding butterfly wedge.

Adjustable self-expanding wedge, developed and patented for the blocking of door frames without the need for screws.

Designed for perimeter clearances ranging from 6 to 20mm, it prevents the deformation of the door jambs and acts with a dual effect, temporary locking and permanent mechanical fixing of the frame.

APPLICATIONS

Accessory for fixing the frame of swing internal doors in the PosaClima InDoor PREMIUM PLUS installation system.

This accessory replaces and improves the effectiveness of traditional wooden wedges since it seamlessly integrates into the perimeter gap of the frame. The device is inserted before applying the foam adhesive, providing a semi-permanent mechanical locking system that remains in place, creating continuous pressure.

The device is compatible with any type of false frame made of different materials. Its action generates significant pressure, comparable to that exerted by a wooden wedge, and provides the restraining force.

For each door, it is recommended to use at least two of these devices to be positioned at the top, along the transom, at the height of the jambs. The devices can be placed on both sides of the door, facing either the room or the corridor; there is no specific installation direction.

The effectiveness of the device is guaranteed for perimeter clearances with a width ranging from 6 to 20 mm.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Once the frame is positioned in the opening and secured with the DOOR FRAME mounting guides, insert the blocking device into the upper perimeter gap, between the transom of the frame and the false frame, exactly above the jambs.

To achieve the correct frame locking pressure, screw it clockwise using a Torx15 screwdriver. It is recommended to adjust the torque of the attachment to about half of the maximum value, screwing until complete locking.

The use of an impact driver is not recommended.

Insert the device with the outer teeth facing upward, exerting a downward push. During the initial screwing phase, press the shelf with a light finger pressure.

You can also use the device in the upper side gaps, at the height of the upper transom. However, using it in the lower side gaps of the door is not recommended, as continuous pressure over time could reduce the width of the stop.
